IBPS SO Exam 2017
Just like the other upcoming bank exams, the
IBPS Specialist Officer provides a great opportunity for those aspirants who
want to work in Public Sector Banks. The IBPS SO Prelims exam is scheduled to
be held on the 30th and 31st Dec 2017 and Mains on 28th Jan 2018. This year the
pattern has slightly differed when compared to the previous year’s exams. This
article informs the candidates about the latest and updated IBPS SO 2017 Exam Pattern and selection process.
IBPS SO Exam Pattern 2017
The IBPS SO 2017 Recruitment procedure is of
the following stages:
1. Preliminary Exam
2. Mains Exam
3. Interview
The candidates will first have to appear for
the Prelims Exam. Once the candidate successfully clears the prelims exam, the
candidate will get shortlisted for the Mains exam. The marks in the mains exam
for Reasoning, English Language and Quantitative Aptitude will not be included
in the calculation for the Final Merit list. The candidates who have cleared
the Mains exam will be shortlisted for the Interview Process. The Mains exam
will consist of questions from the Professional Knowledge subject which will be
included in the calculation for the Final Merit list. Also, there was no
sectional timing for the exam which was introduced for this year’s exam. This
aforementioned information can be confirmed once the IBPS SO Official
Notification is out.

All the tests are bilingual (English and
Hindi) and have a negative marking of 0.25 marks deducted for every wrong
answer. For the candidates to be shortlisted for the Interview, they should
score more than the requirement of the Total Weightage Score. The calculation of the Total Weightage Score
is given below:
Total Weightage Score = Score Obtained in test of Professional
Knowledge x 1.6
The Online Registration starts from November
16 to December 2nd, 2017. The eligible candidates can register for this Upcoming Bank Exam.
